Henry Mascot@iAmHenryMascot · Aug 11agentsSpun up Grok Bot agents for business tasks, not codingI’ve been testing Grok Bot in early access. I used it to spin up agents for different business tasks rather than coding. The mental model took me a minute. Each agent is part teammate, part ongoing workspace. You create one for a topic, and whenever you return, you’re back in the same thread. I kept hitting the new button expecting to open a new session 😂 Setup took around two minutes. Grok Bot has 200+ integrations, so I could connect the tools I already use without fiddling with much. The product is very simple and minimal. There’s almost nothing to configure. Maybe that’s because it’s still v1, but I loved it. Tools like Codex or Cowork can look intimidating to non-technical users because there’s so much happening in the UI. Grok Bot feels much easier to pick up. My favourite feature is that every agent gets its own computer. You can open the virtual desktop, watch what it’s doing and take over when needed. Cursor already does this well for coding, and it’s easily my favourite feature there. Bringing it to ordinary business tasks is awesome. This is probably the easiest agent product I’ve tried for non-technical work. You can start doing something useful without becoming part-time DevOps for your agents lol. I run six Hermes and OpenClaw agents, so I know how much work these systems normally take to set up. Will definitely be recommending this to my normie friends.

NeilXbt@neil_xbt · Aug 31agentsGrok Bot reverse-engineers firefighting robot and quotes $61 parts$61. That's what it cost to go from "watching a teenager's fire-fighting robot on X" to having a bot price out the parts and ask for approval to order them. > The robot: a 3rd-gen turret that tracks a flame live and extinguishes it with a water jet > The tests: lighter, burning sticks, gas torch, with visible safety precautions in every clip > The progression: gen 1 barely aimed, gen 3 locks on before the flame even settles > The move: one message to Grok Bot ("i want one"), and it reverse-engineered the build and quoted $61 in parts > The next pitch: gen 4, adding smoke detection so it fires before flame is even visible My bot will start importing kids' hardware projects to build this. Prax Lannister 🧑💻@ByteByByteSrSDE · Aug 30agentsJob bots: curate roles, optimize resume, fill applicationsI’ve been using Grok Bot for way more than just asking random questions tbh. For jobs, I have one bot curating roles from multiple sites based on my profile, another one optimises my resume for the JD and fills most of the application itself. It usually only needs me for sign-in/signup, CAPTCHA, OTP etc. Then there’s an orchestrator maintaining a whole Notion tracker for applications, recruiter details, follow-ups, resume versions, interview stages etc. For each serious lead it also makes a prep page with company research, likely interview topics, system design areas, behavioural qs and gaps I should revise. I also use one almost like a career coach. It looks across rejections/interviews and tries to spot patterns like whether I’m applying at the wrong seniority, repeatedly missing some skill, or struggling in the same interview stage. For learning, I use Grok like a tutor that remembers what I already know, what I’m weak at and what I’ve studied before. I can dump a paper, repo, video or X thread into it and have it turn the useful parts into notes, exercises or things I should actually learn instead of adding one more thing to my bookmark graveyard 😭 I’ve also been experimenting with a private reflection/mental health bot. Not a therapist replacement, more like a journal that actually remembers context. I can brain-dump when I’m overwhelmed and ask it to help separate what actually happened, what I’m assuming, what I can control, and what tiny thing I can do next. One of my fav use cases is literally a “get me unstuck” bot. When I’ve procrastinated on something for hours, I tell it exactly that. It tries to figure out whether I’m stuck because the task is vague, boring, anxiety-inducing, too big or I’m just overthinking it, then keeps shrinking the next step until it feels doable. Also use it for daily planning, researching purchases, trip planning, comparing subscriptions, meeting prep, difficult messages, summarising PDFs, organising notes and turning random ideas into actual projects. At this point I don’t really think of Grok as one chatbot anymore. I’m basically building a small personal team for career, learning, research, reflection and life admin. Still very experimental, but this is probably the first time “AI assistant” has started feeling like an actual system around my life rather than just a chatbox. And yeah, being jobless rn but I haven’t given up 😭 I’m genuinely trying to use this time to rebuild myself and keep moving. Really hoping I can somehow get support for the $200 sub because it would honestly help me a lot right now. @grok @bot @elon @poteto please

Bryan Hunter@BryanHunter81 · Aug 31agentsStanding up AI teammates as staff with caps and dispatcher1/ A work in progress towards greatness. Spent the week standing up AI teammates (@bot). Did not treat it like a chat. Treated it like a staff. Learned fast. Paid tuition in allotment. 2/ Unknowns I walked in with: It is not “more messages.” Agent work is computer-use, logins, routines. Teaching by watching you click costs more than asking a question. A weekly pool looks big until three bots work overnight and nothing has a STOP. 3/ Hard lessons: I started on the “easy” mundane job (calendars). It has no natural end state. Then I ran productive security scans and actually got lists I could use. The task I cared about most (money picture) was last — and that’s when the meter died. 4/ Ways ahead: Think in chat. Act in Bot. One job, one cap, then STOP. Dispatcher holds the queue. Daily routines stay off until a wake proves it’s cheap. 5/ Staff is built. Instructions are pasted. Allotment is paused like a recovery day. Still a work in progress. @grok @bot #GrokBot #WIP

Ben Newton ベン@BenENewton · Aug 31agentsShare Claude skills to Grok Bot via BlackOps MCP serverI've been working on an idea. I switched over to a Grok bot this weekend and everything I'd built up in Claude stayed behind. Not memory, BlackOps already solves that. The skills. Every procedure I use for logging bugs, building content, running my weekly review is a markdown file that only exists inside Claude. On Grok I was back to explaining how I do things by hand. So I'm putting them in BlackOps instead. Two tools on the MCP server, one that lists the skills I have and one that hands over the actual procedure. Connect a new bot to the server and it finds them on its own, nothing pasted into its settings. Same skills on Claude, Grok, Cursor, whatever comes next.
Jonathan Cai@jonathanmcai · Aug 31agentsTests Grok Bot for Polymarket research and tradingTesting out Grok Bot (@bot) for @Polymarket research/trading and wanted to share some initial thoughts. TL;DR it can be a bit sloppy so you need to check its work, but it's promising for market discovery and idea generation. --- A few days ago I simply asked it to search broadly for spots to enter into. Immediately it came up with NO on "Google Maps renames Lake Ontario to "Lake America" by Aug 31". The thesis was Trump signed the EO to rename the lake already, but Google hadn't updated their map yet, and that last time ("Gulf of America") it took Google three weeks to update. With just a few days left, grok thought it was an easy NO at 66%. Makes sense right? I immediately added a tiny position just to test it out. But after just a bit more prodding, it realized its own mistake: The thesis was entirely wrong, and actually the precedence suggests the exact opposite trade. The three weeks it quoted before was almost entirely internal/GNIS updating, and once GNIS did update it took Google a single day to follow. Thankfully I had sold once I realized grok's mistakes. Because lo and behold, Google Maps updated on Aug 29, and all markets resolved YES. Still, later I realized I missed out on a 3x return - I could've also flipped to YES ontop of selling. --- Nice little lesson to dig deeper into any thesis generated by AI, and that even if it turns out the first idea is slop, it might lead to a better idea after deeper research. Despite the mistake, the UX of @bot is great so far, and I'm excited to test out more sophisticated, multi-agent workflows (maybe there can be a way for a second agent to double check theses like this so mistakes are caught earlier). Becoming more and more clear to me that AI assistance with the full gambit of trading - research, discovery, sizing, and even execution is inevitable. AI lends itself particularly well to the information density and sheer number/breadth of prediction markets, probably more than any other asset class. But ultimately I think it will largely come down to how well the product/UX is executed. More experimentation to come...

WILLSWAYSTUDIOS@WILLSWAYSTUDIOS · Aug 28agentsAgent Control: phone Grok Bot launches/spawns local IDE jobsAgent Control is the missing arm between a manager chat and the coding tools already on a developer’s desk. Grok Bot is the manager. It lives on desktop and phone. Developers already talk to it. What they cannot do from that chat is start, wake, or steer the IDEs on the PC without burning the chat’s own capacity, or sitting at the desk to babysit the job. Agent Control is the local app that closes that gap. The user installs Agent Control on the computer that already has Grok Build, Cursor, Claude, Ollama, or the next adapter. Grok Bot is linked first, then the IDEs. One folder is opened. That folder is the only current workspace. Every linked bot and IDE uses it. From Grok Bot, three verbs reach the desk: Launch (start a closed IDE), Spawn (one-shot turn), Wake (idle until pinged). The IDE works on that folder. When the slice finishes, Agent Control reports STATUS back to Grok Bot. The user does not watch the desk. The phone works while the PC is awake. Linear is not the control plane. Grok Bot is. This is a local product. Each customer runs the plane, sidecar, UI, adapters, and job store on their own machine. Vendor IDEs are plugs. There is no rented control plane and no requirement to move source into the cloud. The product is the project, the IDEs, and the job. Surfaces stay small: Channel, Jobs, Plan, Log, Memory, Backends, Inbox. Design follows a dark premium HUD, but comms is the product. That loop is already live: Grok Bot pairs as manager, the workspace switches between real projects, Grok Build is spawned from the phone, and finished work reports back into Grok Bot without the user sitting at the desk.

Less than 24 hours later: 97 prospects contacted. 33 accepted. 15+ replied. 1 booked a demo. And that demo came from a company with a 50-person team. GrokBot suggested ICPs and personalized messaging angles I had never even thought of. Of course, you can do all of this directly inside @gojiberryai. But using GrokBot on top is surprisingly powerful. You can spin up new ICPs + messaging angles insanely fast, while getting very precise data on what’s actually happening. Chrome@0xchromium · Aug 30agents12 Grok Bot agents research 48k posts overnight for content briefI COULDN'T EVEN IMAGINE GROK BOT COULD DO THIS I ran 12 agents on my content research and they went through 48,120 posts, videos, articles and comments in one night each of them worked with their own source, and here's what they did: > read 13,120 posts in my feed, deduplicated against everything I’ve seen > watched 9,840 videos and kept only the highest performing ones > reviewed 4,260 articles, matched a format from another niche to mine > checked 5,220 posts in my niche and caught one angle running twice > scanned 3,110 replies and found the question nobody had answered 5 findings survived all of that, one per source, each with the source printed next to it it starts every evening and runs to 7:00am, so the brief is already in a file and waiting for me to check it content research is what I pointed mine at, the article below has five agents for five kinds of work, with the prompt to copy for each
MAX@MAXdeg0 · Aug 30agentsGrok Bot builds self-running tiny internet business with affiliate pagesTHERE’S NO CATCH AND THAT’S WHAT SCARES ME Someone is using Grok Bot to build a tiny internet business that basically runs itself. The setup is stupidly simple: → create a bot and give it one job → find boring problems people search for every day → let it research the niche and find opportunities → have it build useful pages and publish them automatically → connect affiliate/referral offers → get daily reports while the bot keeps working The owner doesn’t need to sit there writing articles or managing the site every day. The bot keeps researching. Keeps publishing. Keeps improving. Laptop closed. Business still moving. The crazy part isn’t that Grok can build a website. It’s that every page can keep working for you after you’ve gone to sleep. This is starting to look less like using AI and more like owning digital real estate.

savip.@savipww · Aug 30agentsGroktagon bot trades WorldMonitor events vs prediction markets, +25%99.5% of people will scroll past this. 0.5% will build it tonight my Groktagon closed today up 25.4% to $2027.75 trading a free map of the world against prediction markets while i did nothing the map is WorldMonitor. open source, live, called "free Palantir" by the people who run it. it tags every strike, reroute, filing and price move on earth in real time the setup costs $0 on top of the sub: → open a Grok Bot, point it at the WorldMonitor feed, tell it to watch and stop asking you questions → tell it to cross every live event against open any prediction market odds and only act when the gap beats 8% → it read the feed all day and found seven: gold at 45c, anthropic at 62c, fed hike at 48c, s&p at 41c → it sized each bet with kelly, capped at 6% of the book, and placed them from its own browser → by close: gold 61c, anthropic 90c, fed hike 59c. the book went 1,616 to 2,027 → telegram sent the report. i never opened the folder every event on that map is a number somewhere before the market prices it in. the bot just reads faster than the desk does bookmark this before the gap closes if u need a link lemme know

WarpSpeed@LQGWarpSpeed · Aug 31agentsDaily routine keeps Grok Build installed on Bot remote PCGrok @bot
ALTORY@altory_y · Aug 30agentsGrok Bot reads 10-Ks in minutes and surfaces market-surprise signalsI GAVE GROK 8 MINUTES TO READ A 10-K. It found a signal I would have missed. 60 days later: +$287K. The problem wasn't information. It was speed. A 10-K can be 180+ pages. By the time you finish reading it, the market may have already reacted. So I gave Grok Bot one job: Find what matters before I finish reading. It downloads the filing when it drops. Pulls the important numbers. Reads the footnotes. Checks insider activity. Finds new partnerships. Compares everything with previous filings. Then ranks the top 3 signals by one question: "How surprised will the market be?" I get the alert. I read the relevant section. I make the decision. I execute. Here's what that looked like: MGNI filed its 10-K at 8am. 8:08am. Grok flagged insider buying and a partnership buried in the filing. I got in at $8.20. The stock later hit $13.80. Profit: $5,600. Grok didn't predict the move. It found the information I would have missed. 60 days: 23 trades 19 winners +$287K Not because I'm smarter. I'm just faster. Grok Bot does the boring part. I do the thinking part.
azrul gpt@azrulrhm · Aug 30agentsPair GrokBot as boss with Hermes A2A worker to cut usage costsHere's a tip to significantly reduce your @bot usage. Pair it with Hermes! Yes, that Hermes. On a freshly installed Hermes (I use my Mac Mini), set up A2A channel. From GrokBot, create a bot that manages this remote Hermes. GrokBot is the boss, and Hermes is the worker now. You then teach whatever routine you need to carry out to GrokBot. Once you nail the flow, which is super easy to do with GrokBot, ask it to transfer it over to Hermes. Even running a routine every 5 minutes on the Hermes costs very little. My favourite model is the DS4-flash. Qwen3.8-Flash works great too, but seems a little unstable for now. GrokBot then checks on Hermes once a day, reports to you if anything needs tweaking. That's it.
